The client.

Insight is a desktop software application program for UNIX and Linux workstations which provides integrated e-mail, collaboration and calendar management capabilities similar to Microsoft Outlook product, and interoperates with Microsoft Exchange server. The product is available on popular X86 versions of Linux, and on Sun Solaris versions of UNIX.

The server.

Insight Server is a cost-effective and highly scalable messaging and collaboration server which provides features similar to Microsoft Exchange server, and runs on platforms spanning from Linux-based PC servers to the IBM zSeries and S/390. Based on proprietary software developed by Bynari integrated with open-source components, Insight's unique peer-to-peer interoperability with Outlook/Exchange from Linux and UNIX workstations is not offered by any other company.

Interoperability.

This picture shows you that you can exchange an existing Exchange server by an Insight Server. Before upgrading to a newer version of Exchange something to think about. Perhaps. This can save you a lot of money, afterall.

This same picture shows you that your employees who have already an UNIX or GNU/Linux desktop computer or workstation really don't need an additional Windows desktop computer in order to communicate with their collegues via e-mail, calendaring and so on. Insight client might save you the expence of additonal hard- and software in exchange to a Insight client license.
